Position Summary:

Electrical Engineers at Kimberly-Clark initiate design, develop, optimize, and problem solve manufacturing and converting processes in a manner that meets safety, quality, and operational performance expectations.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the Conventional Technology (CTEC) Tissue Manufacturing Asset team in Beech Island, SC.  This team supports daily tissue machine operation, improves reliability, and executes capital projects to improve the Safety, Quality, OEE, & Cost of the tissue manufacturing department.  The individual will report to the CTEC TM Asset Leader. It starts with YOU.  

In this role, you will:

  • Carry out all job responsibilities in a safe manner. Develop equipment and processes that meet safety codes, policies, and guidelines.  Provide for the safety and well-being of operators, maintenance, and other personnel.
  • Support daily tissue manufacturing asset performance to achieve Safety, Quality, OEE, & Cost objectives.
  • Provide functional leadership and creativity in the initiation of design, development, and optimization of CTEC tissue manufacturing equipment to meet unit objectives.
  • Lead single or multiple product or process improvement projects with a financial scope of up to $10 million from conception through commercialization.
  • Identify and problem solve complex technical issues and provide necessary solutions to eliminate root cause, including leading group Problem Solving sessions.
  • Develop knowledge and skills in leadership of the application of engineering principles, scientific analysis, problem solving, and project management.
  • Assist in the development of others within the area of expertise.
  • This role will own and manage the electrical and controls side of one of our CTEC tissue machines.  They will have the ability and expertise to support our operations and maintenance teams in upkeep and optimization of critical equipment. They will also be able to provide long term improvements to the asset from idea conception all the way through execution.

  • Position requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent degree, from an accredited college or university. 
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers); variable speed motor drives; HMI (Human Machine Interfaces) distributed control systems; instrumentation; and power distribution.
  • Incumbent should have a demonstrated history of proven performance in achieving both Objectives and Behaviors/Ways of Working. 
  • Incumbent should have the ability and flexibility to work in a manufacturing environment with a 24/7 operation.
  • Incumbent should be flexible to travel up to 15% as dictated by business need for meetings, machine install or start-up support, benchmarking, or best practice sharing across North America.

Salary Range: $86,000 - $110,000 USD

Along with base pay, this position offers eligibility for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite, including our 401(k) and Profit-Sharing plan. The anticipated base pay range for this role is provided above for a fully qualified hire. Actual pay will depend on several factors, such as location, role, skills, performance, and experience. Please note that the stated pay range applies to US locations only. 

Kimberly-Clark will support in-country relocation for the chosen candidate for the role. The benefits provided will be per the terms of Kimberly-Clark's applicable mobility policies. The benefits/policy provided will be decided at Kimberly-Clark's sole discretion. 

This is a Grade 10 position in the US.  Grades may vary by location. 

Salary Range: 85,540 – 105,620 USD
