The Role

The Applied Molecular Biology Division is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Kim lab to conduct research on innovative single-cell sequencing methods. This role involves multidisciplinary research in areas such as molecular biology, cell biology, chemical biology, and bioinformatics, within the newly established laboratory. The successful candidate will demonstrate an enthusiastic attitude and be willing to step outside their comfort zone to bring creative solutions to challenging questions.

How you'll contribute:

  • Design and execute experiments in novel single cell sequencing methods

  • Communicate discoveries and findings to the scientific community through publications and presentations

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners

  • Maintain high standards of scientific rigor, quality of data and documentation practices

  • Engage actively in learning about the rapidly evolving field of single cell and spatial omics

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Ph.D. in Molecular biology, Cell biology, Genomics, or a related discipline

  • Proven track record in developing Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) methods

  • Proficient in designing and executing diverse molecular biology and cell biology assays

  • Experience with mammalian cell culture

  • Familiarity with handling and analyzing sequencing data

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Publication of original scientific work in high-quality journals

What will make you stand out:

  • Hands-on experience in scRNA-seq experiments and data analysis is highly preferred

  • Experience in flow cytometry and FACS

  • Experience in protein engineering
