IT Sourcing and Procurement Manager - (*Hybrid ) (Finance)



The specific pay rate and level will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications, prior experience and location.

“A Day in the Life”

This position is responsible for all IT sourcing and procurement activities, focusing on cost-effective purchasing strategies, vendor management, and contract negotiations to support the company's growth. In addition, this position is responsible for spending analytics, software licensing, and hardware and software maintenance renewal. This position requires a highly analytical and results-driven professional with experience in procurement, sourcing, and supplier relationship management.

Reports to the Director, IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity. Is responsible for all relationships with 3rd party vendors and service providers. Reviews project work SOWs, contingent labor and staff augmentation, managed services and implementation services. The position will interact with IT Leaders and key business stakeholders at McGrath to deliver an end to end IT Sourcing and Procurement process. In addition, the Vendor Manager will ensure that maintenance and software license renewal quotes reflect proper quantities and that quotes are in line with budget estimates.

“What You'll Do”

Responsible for conducting spend analysis, analyzing suppliers, identifying sourcing value levers, executing competitive RFIs/RFPs and leading supplier negotiations.

Sourcing & Procurement

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand and document IT requirements
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and ensure high-quality supply sources that deliver on a timely basis.
  • Aggregates and leverages IT spending power.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks related to procurement and supply chain
  • Work with IT stakeholders to understand current and future needs, including hardware, software, and services.
  • Implements and drives procurement strategy, policies and procedures
  • Gather stakeholder and subject-matter expertise/insights and business requirements to ensure sourcing solutions meet business needs
  • Manage the planning and launch of RFIs and RFPs

Vendor Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable terms.
  • Manage supplier selection process and provides data to ensure informed selection decisions
  • Monitor supplier performance and manage ongoing vendor relationships.
  • Develop and maintains a list of key IT Vendors and suppliers
  • Responsible for all compliance documentation for vendors
  • Track vendor performance and evaluates the effectiveness of IT procurement
  • Explore significant value-add initiatives such as vendor and spend consolidation.
  • Conducts quarterly business reviews, measures performance through scorecards
  • Ensures integrity of savings tracking and reporting efforts.

Contract Management

  • Research and evaluate potential vendors

  • Oversee contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Establish vendor agreements that align with company and customer goals
  • Negotiates contract terms and conditions and coordinates with legal to execute optimal contracts with suppliers.

Cost Control & Budgeting

  • Develop cost-saving initiatives and drive efficiency in procurement processes.
  • Track and manage procurement budgets and forecasts, ensure adherence to financial goals
  • Managing budgets, analyzing procurement costs, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.

Software and License Management

  • Identify software requirements
  • Negotiate software license agreements with vendors
  • Ensure that the acquired licenses align with the company's usage requirements
  • Ensure that the company maintains compliance with licensing agreements

Technology & Process Optimization

  • Leverage procurement software and tools to streamline purchasing activities.
  • Continuously seek process improvements and automation opportunities within the procurement function.

“Must Haves”

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills: To effectively negotiate with vendors and communicate with internal stakeholders.
  • Contract Management Skills: To draft, review, and manage contracts.
  • Technical Understanding of IT: To understand the needs of IT departments and the products/services they require.
  • Financial Acumen: To analyze costs, manage budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • 10+ years in a technical leadership position
  • 8+ years in systems engineering, administration, or vendor management
  • Supporting a complex infrastructure across multiple branch offices
  • Project Management
  • Working knowledge of Cybersecurity, compliance, and networking
  • Working knowledge of supporting, maintaining and administering Microsoft operating systems, including Active Directory and Windows Servers
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365
  • Working knowledge of Virtualization Environments (VMware).
  • Working knowledge of Linux operating system is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Storage and Backup systems
