Assistant, Accounting (Administrative)



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process vendor invoices and receiving reports into the ERP system; assist with voucher entry and document filing. 
  • Prepare and submit customer invoices.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to purchasing, receiving and vendor billing. 
  • Monitor AR payment statuses and help resolve outstanding receivables, supporting the Share Services team. 
  • Assist in closing month-end activities including account reconciliation and journal entry preparation. 
  • Maintain organized records for all administrative and financial documentation. 
  • Generate standard financial and accounting reports as directed. 
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and clarification. 
  • Perform other accounting and clerical tasks and duties assigned by the Accounting Manager. 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years in accounting support, particularly in AP/AR.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
  • Must have the ability to perform basic math calculations including addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and percentages.
  • ERP software.
  • Must have the ability to analyze and resolve problems and deal with a variety of personalities. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet team expectations.
  • Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures. 
  • Ability to understand and abide by all safety rules and regulations to perform the job.
  • Must have reading, writing, and good communication skills.
